I’ve been going crazy making banners for the April 17th Event. I actually have 3 more that I think are fantastic, but I’m waiting on the model approval of one, photographer approval on another and both for the third. What’s the story on this image? Well, I’ve been talking to Barry for a while about working with him on a shoot. My contributions to the above photo were to help to build the elevator shaft and rig up the ropes. It was a very cool and surprisingly easy project. Barry is so easygoing and has incredible artistic vision. Hopefully we will work together on some future projects

And in other news…I’ve been updating this site a bit by adding, amongst other things, an events section. *Look to the right* Basically, I’m on a bit of mission to start listing interesting things happening in Dallas. With the Death of Deep Ellum, and a series of other events, the Dallas underground art/entertainment scene has been very difficult to track down. Not to say it doesn’t exist. In the wake of the Great Deep Ellum Exodus, art galleries have been sprung to life everywhere. There are even rumors abound that The Cedars will soon see an arts and entertainment explosion. It’s already begun…let’s just see if the ball keeps rolling or if the Juggernaut ends up being just another Paper Tiger.

My prediction: Nothing fosters a good art scene like a bad economy and lots of commercial vacancies. I honestly think Dallas is on the verge of an artistic explosion not seen since since late 1980s….but enough about that….how about this….this weekend to be exact.
